Drowning is the second-leading cause of injury-related death for children ages 1 to 14 years. | | Teen Drivers - In 2001, more than 4,700 teens ages 16 to 19 died of injuries caused by motor vehicle crashes. | | Youth Violence - In 2002, more than 877,700 young people ages 10 to 24 were injured from violent acts. Approximately 1 in 13 required hospitalization. |
